SLEIS Pilot 2018

In August of 2018 a SLEIS Pilot Project was initiated with 8 facilities agreeing to participate. These facilities then went through the registration process of completing and submitting form CN-1525 to APC. APC then created the user accounts in SLEIS. The IT Department worked on getting SLEIS ready for the Pilot and completed their work in mid-September 2018 at which time the SLEIS Pilot went live. The APC EI team meanwhile prepared data files and a new specialized custom programmed data file editing Excel workbook for the facilities to use. This new Excel workbook provides for the building and maintenance of the data files the facility will be loading into SLEIS to complete their Emissions Inventory report. From mid-September through early December the facilities participating in the SLEIS Pilot worked to enter their 2017 Emissions Inventory report into SLEIS. Working with the facilities to answer questions and help solve problems encountered APC successfully completed the initial SLEIS Pilot and was able to submit each facilities Emissions Inventory reports to the EPA on schedule.
